Thursday Night Football (4)

Expired

Simply, should the NFL quit with Thursday Night Games? The games are division games played on a short week and usually a lower quality of game? Or is TNF something that is here to stay, despite all its real or perceived shortcomings?

Monday Night (2)

Expired

I am a Bills fan so I thought the refs were awful Monday night. Between that roughing the kicker no call, Spotting the ball with 5 seconds left on the play clock next play, or Woods getting blown up in the end zone on the last play of the game before the ball was in the air. Are games this bad league wide or was this an aberration?

Matthews, McDavid, Eichel or Other? (9)

How good does the future NHL look? These 3 players will forever be compared to each other. Which Franchise player will have the best NHL career? Who will put up the most career points? Which player will turn their team around the quickest and make the playoffs? Who will win the Art Ross Trophy first? Who will win the Art Memorial Trophy first? Is there another NHL young gun that should be compared to this trio?

Tygod or Tyrod? (5)

Expired

As we all know, Tyrod Taylor is set to make HUGE money next season if the Bills decide to pick up the option. Thus far he has looked fairly pedestrian and used mostly as a game manager. While his elusiveness may be good for one or 2 big/important plays per game, is he worth the money he is set to make next season and beyond? What say you??

Is Terrelle Pryor is the smartest guy in football? (4)

Expired

Pryor came in to the league as a Quarterback, he actually started games as a quarterback in the NFL. Arguably with some degree of success. (he was no Andrew Luck, but he wasn't Jamarcus Russell either) But instead of being stubborn with the likes of say a Tim Tebow, he said "hey, I'm a guy that can contribute as a WR. I'll make the switch to WR." As a result, by putting his ego aside, and fully committing to his new position, he is having a hell of a good season for the Browns at their WR position. The guy who couldn’t land a minimum contract one year ago could end up being one of the hottest commodities of next offseason – if the Browns let him get that chance at Free Agency (he becomes a free agent in March), Pryor could very well end up drawing a franchise tag. And if he doesn’t, a league source said the recent deal signed by Los Angeles Rams wideout Tavon Austin ($42 million over four years with more than $25 million guaranteed) would likely be this offseason’s negotiating touchstone.

Professional Wrestling Needs to Bring Back Jobbers! Who was your favorite? (6)

Expired

When I was a kid, I used to watch Maple Leaf Wrestling on Saturday mornings. That was when I pretty much knew wrestling had a script, but I was just young enough to still have the magic of not really knowing for sure. During the 80's and prior, not everyone was a "Superstar." I miss seeing guys like Barry Horowitz, Steve Lombardi, Jose Luis Rivera and one of my favorites, "Iron" Mike Sharp. I think the WWE should bring back jobbers to make the matches more fun and fun again. If you were ever lucky enough to see a jobber win, it was an awesome thing! Who was your favorite jobber? I have to go with either "Iron Mike Sharpe" or Barry Horowitz!

Troll Level: Supreme Grand Chancellor (3)

Expired

While watching Team USA fall victim to their rivals to the north, Phil Kessel took a moment to let us know how his summer is going. "Just sitting around the house tonight w my dog. Felt like I should be doing something important, but couldn't put my finger on it." Phil trolling Lambert & Torts?!?! Hilarious, if you ask me, and it should make for some pretty intense Pittsburgh/Columbus games this season. Unfortunately for the US, Phil is 100% right, too. He should have been on this team. This tournament as a whole was meant to highlight the speed and skill of the game, but instead, we got to watch Dustin Byfuglien plod around the ice. Did he buy a ticket for the game? All he did was watch Canadians fly by him. All. Night. Long. So aside from Phil, who else should have been on the Team USA roster? What other skill players do we have that could have competed against the unstoppable Canadians?

Significant others and sports. (4)

Expired

How do you feel about times when journalists blame significant others for losses or slump play. Think of Toni Romo and Jessica Simpson or Olivia Munn and Aaron Rogers. I can see a fan blaming the relationship because fans are fans and do not have journalistic integrity to worry about, but what about large sports outlets like ESPN or Fox Sports for example. Last year, many sports outlets based stories on tweets from fans (this was regarding Rogers and Munn). ESPN's Rob Demovsky discussed this theory and I think it was lazy journalism and he was trying to get headlines. I know this isn't the most recent event, but I heard an interview with Olivia Munn on the radio today and thought this would be a good topic!
